He loves hats; this one is too small, but he loves it, so I force it on. Not sure how much longer I can get it on his little noggin!
He has been teething, and the other morning he slept so late I was worried. When I finally heard him stirring, this is what greeted me when I opened the door.
After Ann was born, our first outing as a threesome (mama, big baby, little baby) was to our neighborhood coffee shop. I carry Ann and Von rides in his car or stroller. This was the first time--Von was pretty excited to get out!

It's a blustery Sunday afternoon. Aaron and Von are watching football and playing Von's "guitar" in the living room and I'm wrapped in a blanket in the inglenook holding a sleeping princess, pecking this post out with one hand. I've been trying to be more intentional about capturing scenes from our everyday lives, and I decided to post some pictures I've taken recently. I apologize for the poor quality--these were all taken on my phone. I need to keep my camera on hand!

He found some guitar pedals and immediately put them to work while holding his "guitar." He knows they go together--he's just not sure how it all works...
Von has a pair of headphones that Papa lets him use. Sometimes he uses them to listen to music, but more often than not, he just wants to wear them around the house. On Halloween, he wore them over his parrot costume for a while--just not long enough for me to get a picture. Anyway, I love this little boy and his passion for all things music--including silent headphones. :)
This year for Halloween, Von was a parrot. I was worried about whether he would be comfortable in his costume as it has a hood, and while he likes hats, he really does not like the hood on his bath towel. Anyway, after his morning nap, I put it on him, and he LOVED it. He wore it all day. We felt like he was too little to go trick-or-treating, but I gave him a peanutbutter cup--which he LOVED--and he helped Papa pass out candy to the other trick-or-treaters. He wasn't sure what to think about the festivities, but the other children all thought he was adorable in his little costume.

He especially likes when he can sit on Mommy's lap and play with her, although sometimes I apparently play the wrong notes and he moves my hands off the keyboard so he can play a solo. Enjoy!
I'm realizing that not only have I not taken a whole lot of pictures of Anberlin, I am not doing a great job of posting! If you're on Facebook, you've likely seen all these, but I want to make sure all of you see them.
She is a darling little angel baby, just like Von. So far. :) She still sleeps 4-5 hours stretches, nurses like a champ, and loves--LOVES--to cuddle. Von still adores her and comes running if he hears her fussing. And Papa is head over heels, of course. She is a delight!
A couple of weeks ago, we continued our family tradition of going to a local pumpkin farm. This year, we let Von out of his stroller--he was a bit unsure about what he was supposed to do and why he was supposed to be having fun. But we had fun watching him explore! And then he definitely had fun drinking apple cider afterward. We tried to get a family photo with all four of us, but our family selfie didn't turn out great. We'll try again soon!
