I am so behind on blogging. Well, on life, really. :) But I just got the pictures back of Von's birthday party, so that motivated me to get caught up with the blog. I'll start with recent pictures of our strawberry princess. For those of you who haven't met her, she has had red hair since she was born. I didn't say anything because I didn't know if she would lose it, but it seems to be sticking around so far.

Saturday I was sorting through my baby box. I found a cutie outfit, handmade knit, so I washed it and Ann wore it to church yesterday. We got a ton of compliments, and I thought she was so cutie!

First bath

Saturday night we gave Ann her first bath.

At first she wasn't sure what she thought.

Then she decided she loved it!

"No, Papa! Don't take me out of the bath!"

Baby Rockstar

Von continues to delight us with his music. His instrument of choice is his "guitar". He often sings while he plays, and he usually finds a pedal to push as part of his routine. He has adopted a small music book as his music, and he has a church bulletin or two that he puts on his music stand--just like Papa on Sunday mornings! He has his own picks and peg winder. If you're on Facebook you saw this video when I took it. Watch as he stops to tune his guitar--just like Papa.

My beautiful boy

Here are some pictures of our sweetie boy that I've taken this month. He has the sweetest, laid-backest personality and likes everything to be in order. He loves to organize and put things away. One of his favorite activities is helping to put away groceries.

Von was on an Elmo kick for a while.

He would wrap him up and carry him like a baby, cooing to him and sharing his binky.

But then he got over Elmo. Oh, well.

Von LOVES to help Papa in the studio. He can wrap cables and plug cables in and out. He loves playing with the mixing boards. At church, he helps break things down afterward, organizing everything and winding cables up. It's adorable and fun to watch.

He will do sound checks on the mics--he grabs it and says, "Test, test, bop, bop, bop," just like Papa on Sunday mornings.

 

Von is a very careful little fellow. He is starting to want to feed himself and loves using a fork and spoon. But when he has to use his fingers, he tries very hard to not make a mess.

 

Christmas

I am so behind on keeping up the blog, and I apologize. We had a wonderful Christmas this year, including our traditional Christmas Eve at Marmee's. Sadly, I did not get any pictures! Argh! But we did take a couple of videos of Von hoping to catch his Christmas excitement; however, these may be the most anticlimactic videos you've ever seen. :) The second one is of Von seeing his gift--a busy board that Aaron carefully designed and made. He left plenty of space so as Von's motor skills improve, we can add more elements.
